Rebrov announces injury to one of Ukraine's national team leaders a month before Euro 2024

Ukraine midfielder Heorhiy Sudakov was injured a month before the start of the European Football Championship

The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Serhiy Rebrov told about this in a comment to Facts. ICTV.

According to him, Sudakov was not included in Shakhtar's squad for the final match of the Ukrainian Cup on May 15 against Vorskla due to injury.

"Unfortunately, Sudakov was injured", Rebrov said.

At the same time, he expressed hope that Sudakov would not be out for long. 

The 21-year-old central midfielder has 14 matches and 1 goal in the national team of Ukraine, in which he became a major player in the selection of Euro 2024.

This season, Sudakov has played 34 matches for Shakhtar, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists.

Ukraine will start playing at Euro 2024 on June 17 in Munich with a game against Romania. In the 2nd round, Serhiy Rebrov's team will meet Slovakia on June 21 in Dusseldorf. The Ukrainians will finish the group round on June 26 in Stuttgart with a match against Belgium.

The teams that finish first and second in their groups, as well as four of the six best third-place teams, will reach the 1/8 finals of the European Championship.

Euro 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14 in Germany.
