Ukrainian troops maintain control of the situation, despite russia's attempts to create the impression of a large-scale offensive

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, said on social media that russia's actions in Kharkiv region can be characterized as an imitation of a large-scale offensive.

"At the moment, it looks like the enemy is imitating a large-scale offensive with the involvement of limited forces and means, conducting reconnaissance by combat. The russians have losses in equipment and manpower", he said.

Kovalenko also noted that the so-called war correspondents of the russian federation are conducting an active information campaign aimed at creating the illusion of a breakthrough and spreading panic among the population.

"The situation is complicated in some places, but controlled by our troops", he added, emphasizing the resilience and effectiveness of Ukrainian defense.

According to the Defense Ministry, russian troops tried to break through the defense in Kharkiv region around 5 a.m., but faced a powerful rebuff by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
