Each neighborhood has its own group of "Junii" who celebrate the holiday on the Sunday after Easter, this day is called Tomei Sunday. This holiday was initiated by the first inhabitants of Brașov, who settled in the old neighborhood called Shei in the 14th century. Although the first mention of this appeared in a document from 1728, there are historians who believe that this tradition goes back even further, starting with Dacia.

First, this parade celebrates the rebirth of nature, the victory over winter and the beginning of a new life. In fact, it represents the ritual initiation of young men known as "juni", which means "young and unmarried men". On this day, "junii" dress in traditional costumes, brightly colored shirts and wide belts. They take to the streets of the city, where they organize parades on horseback, perform dances and songs, and arrange various entertainments for visitors and residents.
