Ukraine has launched secret factories to produce weapons, El Mundo reports
Since the outbreak of the war with russia, Ukraine has deployed a network of hidden weapons manufacturing facilities
According to information published by the Spanish newspaper El Mundo and obtained from a source in the Ukrainian defense industry, Ukraine has initiated the creation of a secret network of factories specialized in the production of weapons. The organization and development of this network is led by the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kamyshin. The source said that some of these plants are disguised with large decorations, while others are located underground. An important aspect is to maintain the confidentiality of the location of these facilities, especially in view of the identification of "traitors" among the staff.
According to the source, the network produces a wide range of weapons, including ammunition, various types of drones, Neptune missiles, Stugna anti-tank missiles, and Kozak armored personnel carriers. Since its launch in 2023, weapons production has tripled. On May 8, Ukroboronprom CEO Herman Smetanin said that in 2024 Ukraine had reached the level of russia in terms of the number of attack drones produced, similar to Shaheds.
