Accounts of tax evaders may be blocked in Ukraine: MP Osadchuk explains how it is possible
Ukraine may start blocking accounts and seizing property of people who evade mobilization. This can be done through administrative proceedings

According to him, increasing fines for evading mobilization may lead to the fact that people will not pay them. As a result, the executive services of the courts will be overwhelmed with a huge number of proceedings.
"This is a lot of money for Kyiv, for me. And for some provincial towns and villages, it is a very big money. That is, most likely, we will have a massive situation when these fines will not be paid by citizens, because they simply may not have the money or they do not want to do it. And, of course, then the enforcement procedure is triggered, and thus it will be possible to block accounts and foreclose on property", Osadchuk explained.
"That is, in fact, in this way, the Ministry of Defense and the Cabinet of Ministers are returning to the idea that was in December 2023 in the draft law on mobilization, which provided for the blocking of accounts, and it was rejected by the Verkhovna Rada because it was unconstitutional. But now this scheme will be launched through, in principle, an absolutely legal procedure – through administrative proceedings", the MP added.
- On April 10, the Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading the draft law No. 10379 on strengthening responsibility for military offenses.
- On May 9, the document was adopted as a whole. According to the draft law, if a person receives a fine of UAH 17 thousand for violating the rules of military registration for the first time, then he or she may be fined UAH 25,500.
