The Verkhovna Rada adopts as a whole the draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses for violation of mobilization

This is reported by espreso.tv

This is reported by MPs Jaroslav Zheleznyak  and Iryna Gerashchenko.

It is noted that the relevant decision was supported by 256 officials from all factions.

This draft law increases the terms of administrative responsibility and administrative detention. At the same time, it introduces criminal liability for refusing to undergo a medical examination during mobilization.

In addition, the draft proposes to increase the size of fines and the duration of administrative detention — up to 3 years.

"The minimum fine for violations under these articles will be UAH 8,500 (compared to UAH 510 previously), and the maximum will be UAH 204,000 (compared to UAH 8,500 previously)", Gerashchenko explained.

According to her, sanctions for violations of military registration are now stricter than for some military offenses, including desertion. Instead, some articles were softened for the second reading.

  • On April 10, the Verkhovna Rada supported draft law No. 10379 on strengthening responsibility for military offenses in the first reading.
