Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office could not give a clear timeline for the liberation of Crimea

Ukraine needs to take total control of the Crimean peninsula, as it is the main logistics base of the occupation forces. In 2023, there were several  effective attempts to do this at least in the air.

Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podolyak said this in an interview 24 channels .

"As for the timing, we can discuss based on the mathematical calculations of what we will have in terms of technological weapons. We talk about this all the time. These are long-range missiles, drones, electronic warfare systems of various modifications, and other means we need. The primary component is aviation, because we cannot talk about the success or failure of this or that if we do not have dominance in some sectors", - Podolyak answered a question about the likelihood and time frame for the de-occupation of Crimea.

At the same time, he said that there are many factors that clearly indicate that Crimea is a strategic target of our offensive operations, which are continuing today.

"We should not forget that in 2023 there were indeed effective attempts to take fire control of the airspace over the Crimean peninsula. It was very effective and successful to push the Black Sea Fleet to the Novorossiysk base and thus control the Black Sea area around the Crimean peninsula", - Podolyak said.

He also reminded that this year it was possible to prevent Russia's ability to return to Snake Island.

The adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration refused to talk about operational and tactical tasks or strategic goals, but called it "the right emphasis" from a political point of view.

He clarified that russia now has total dominance at the front line and in aerial combat, and if this continues, we will have problems.

It should be noted that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov is 100% sure that Ukraine will regain Crimea and all its other territories. However, this requires the support of international partners.
