The American company Tesla has filed a lawsuit against an Indian battery manufacturer for trademark infringement. The company used the Tesla Power brand

Tesla said that the Indian battery manufacturer uses the Tesla Power and Tesla Power USA brands to promote its products and in its advertising. It also emphasized that the latter's website indicated its headquarters in Delaware, where Musk's headquarters is also located.
At the same time, Tesla Power India Pvt Ltd claimed that its production area is lead-acid batteries, and it does not seek to produce cars.
According to the Indian company, it became present in the country "much earlier" than Tesla's Musk, and, in particular, has the approval of the government.
"We have never claimed to be associated with Elon Musk's Tesla", said Manoj Pahwa of Tesla Power.
Reuters adds that the judge gave the Indian company three weeks to file written responses after handing over a package of documents in support of its defense.
