The government has allocated UAH 549 million to the regions to renovate workshops in vocational schools. Veterans and IDPs will be able to study there for free

This was reported by Espresso.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

He noted that the money will be used to set up 88 modern workshops in educational institutions to train specialists to rebuild the country

"Welders, machine operators, mechanics and other working professions are very important for us even during the war. That is why the Government has today reallocated an additional UAH 49 million to add 16 more workshops to the project. That is, in total, the state will update 88 workshops with partners, and international partners will help to update the rest within the #100 workshops project", Fedorov said.

The project will also establish two workshops for civilian drone operators, particularly land and floating drones. The profession of drone operator will be licensed this year.

"Updating vocational schools is a priority for the state and partners today, so this year, institutions are receiving even more new equipment and modern machinery. For example, machine tools, tool sets, combines, tractors, and much more. The Ministry of Education and Science is already working on a new draft law on vocational education", the minister added.

He noted that vocational schools and their graduates are the basis for rebuilding the country.
