"If we leave the Western Balkans, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia on the doorstep for a long time, we will leave them at the mercy of the likes of russia, which generally treats Europeans and Europe badly", Pavel said.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, in turn, called for giving these countries a chance and "making the most of the opportunities offered by enlargement".
