"I would not provide (funds to Ukraine – ed.) if Europe does not start to equalize (support – ed.). If Europe is not going to pay, why should we pay?"
According to the candidate for the post of the head of the White House, the war has a greater impact on European countries than on the United States.
"They (Europeans – ed.) are much more affected (by this war – ed.). There is an ocean between us. There is no such thing between them (Europe and Ukraine – ed.)", he added.
The Time article notes that since the beginning of the full-scale war in russia, the United States under Biden's leadership has provided more than $100 billion in aid to Ukraine. The same amount was allocated by the EU countries to support the state.
