"The situation is changing dynamically": Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops spokesman on the eastern front
Lieutenant Colonel, Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, said that the situation on the eastern front has escalated, but is under control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces
He said this on the air of the Espresso TV channel.
"On the eastern front, in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, the hottest areas are Avdiivka, Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions. The situation at the front has escalated, but is controlled by the Defense Forces. In an attempt to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy has focused its main efforts on several areas, creating a certain advantage in forces and means. The enemy is actively attacking along the entire front line. In some areas, the russians had tactical successes, but the situation is changing dynamically", Voloshyn explained.
According to the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, the Armed Forces and the Defense Forces are taking all measures to drive the enemy out of Ocheretyne.
"Unfortunately, the enemy managed to break through and gain a foothold in Ocheretino. The part where the enemy is located is under our fire control. The Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Defense Forces are taking all measures to drive the enemy out of there. Heavy fighting is currently taking place there, and the situation is under control of the Armed Forces. To break through the defense in that direction, the enemy army has engaged up to 4 brigades. We are taking all measures to stabilize the situation, in particular in the Avdiivka sector, and to regain control over Ocheretyne. For this purpose, additional forces and means from the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were deployed", Voloshyn said.
