Under the state program of compensation for damaged or destroyed housing, eRestoration has already approved payments for more than 65 thousand Ukrainians

This was reported by the Ministry of Reconstruction of Ukraine.

They noted that the program has been operating for almost a year.

"During this time, more than 86 thousand Ukrainians have applied for assistance for current and capital repairs. Payments have been confirmed to 52.4 thousand applicants for a total amount of UAH 5.6 billion", the statement said.

Almost 13 thousand more Ukrainians have also applied for housing certificates for completely destroyed housing for a total amount of UAH 10.1 billion.

In addition, 2402 applicants successfully implemented housing certificates, purchasing new housing to replace the destroyed one.

"Most often, people buy in Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv, and real estate in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions is also in demand. The total cost of the purchased housing is almost UAH 5 billion", the ministry said.

Most applications for compensation for both damaged and destroyed housing came from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk and Mykolaiv regions.

  • On February 22, it became known that the Verkhovna Rada passed a law according to which Ukrainians who lost their homes due to the war will be able to use the eRestoration certificate to buy a house under the eHouse program.
