On Tuesday, April 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Rishi Sunak

In particular, the British Prime Minister informed Zelenskyy about the allocation of the largest ever package of defense support in the amount of half a billion pounds.
"Storm Shadow and other types of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles and boats, ammunition — all this is really needed by Ukraine on the battlefield", the president said.
He expressed gratitude to the UK and personally to the prime minister for showing such strong support.
"And also for the readiness to further develop defense cooperation, especially with an emphasis on maritime and long-range capabilities", Zelenskyy added.
In addition, he discussed with Sunak the need to create an effective model for the confiscation of russian assets and shared his expectations for the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland and the summit of the European Political Community in Britain.
- The day before, it was reported that the British Prime Minister would visit Poland on April 23 to announce the largest package of military assistance to Ukraine, worth 500 million pounds.
