Cyber units from Ukraine's Defence Intelligence have reportedly attacked russia's tax system.

"Military intelligence managed to penetrate one of the well-protected key central servers of the Federal Tax Service (FNS), subsequently compromising over 2300 regional servers throughout russia, as well as in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. As a result of the cyber attack, all servers received malware", - the statement said.
Thus, Ukrainian hackers have hacked and completely destroyed the database that has been ensuring the functioning of the extensive tax system of the russian federation for years. In particular, the attack targeted the russian IT company Office.ed-it.ru, which served the russian Federal Tax Service.

The agency clarified that the russians have been unsuccessfully trying to restore the tax service for four days, and according to experts, the paralysis in the work of the Federal Tax Service will last at least a month.
