FSB Agent Accused of Directing russian Strikes on the Capital and Zhytomyr Region

The Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of Kyiv who is accused of correcting a russian missile strike on one of the buildings of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Shevchenko National University and collected data on the locations of Ukrainian troops in Zhytomyr region.

This was reported by the press service SBU .

"To obtain intelligence in Zhytomyr region, the offender used his relatives who lived there, unaware of his activities. And in the capital, he independently conducted visual surveillance and photographic recording of Ukrainian objects while walking around the city", - the statement said.

According to the investigation, it was with his assistance that russia launched a missile attack on one of the buildings of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on December 31, 2022. The man himself offered his "collaborator" services and specially traveled to Moscow for "briefing",

"During which he was taught methods of work, secrecy, and provided with a list of priority tasks. In addition, the offender was promised russian citizenship and timely "evacuation" to the territory of the aggressor country if necessary. "The offender is in custody. He faces life imprisonment", -  the SBU emphasized.

As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Kharkiv resident who posed as an SBU officer and extorted money from the wife of a deceased serviceman, convincing her that he was in russian captivity.
