In November 2023, industrial production in China grew by 6.6% year-on-year after rising by 4.6% in the previous month and exceeded market forecasts of 5.6%. 

This became known from data on the website National Bureau of Statistics of China .

This was the fastest growth rate of industrial production since February 2022, mainly due to faster growth in mining (3.9% vs. 2.9% in October), manufacturing (6.7% vs. 5.1%) and utilities (9.9% vs. 1.5%). 

Among the industries, the production of electrical machinery accelerated (10.6% vs. 9.8% in October), computers and communications (10.6% vs. 4.8%), textiles (2.1% vs. 2.0%), while the production of general machinery recovered (0.8% vs. -0.1%). 

Production grew more slowly in non-ferrous metallurgy (10.2% vs. 12.5%) and chemicals (9.6% vs. 12.1%). At the same time, the production of non-metallic mineral products fell less (-0.6% vs. -1.1%). In the first eleven months of 2023, industrial production increased by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2022.
