Record Absorption Rate for the Large-Scale Infrastructure Operational Programme (MIPE): 98.68% as of 12 December 2023

The Ministry of European Investment and Projects (MIPE) announces that the absorption rate for the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme (LIOP) reached a record of 98.68% on 12 December 2023. According to MIPE, the total value of the expenditure declarations submitted by the Managing Authority for the LIOP is €9.21 billion, reflecting an absorption rate of 98.68%.
MIPE reported that on 12 December 2023, it submitted to the Certification and Payment Authority of the Ministry of Finance a statement of expenditure amounting to 2.157 billion lei, equivalent to 434.28 million €, Agerpres reports.
This success in the absorption of European funds reflects efficient project management under the LIOP and indicates significant progress in the development of major infrastructure in Romania.
