The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB agent in Donetsk region who worked for the russian occupiers through a "liaison" from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) of the Moscow Patriarchate.

This was reported by the SBU press service.

"The SBU Counterintelligence detained another FSB informant who was adjusting russian strikes on the Defense Forces in Donetsk region. According to the investigation, the suspect was "leaking" the geolocation of the Armed Forces units in the Kramatorsk area", - the statement said.

Her "contact" was the former rector of a OCU church in Donetsk region, who left for the aggressor country at the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion and began working for the FSB. The woman was the cleric's assistant, and after he fled to russia, she continued to keep in contact with him.

"Earlier this year, the enemy informant traveled to russia through EU countries to plot reconnaissance and subversive activities. There, he met with his FSB 'curator' - the former head of the artillery intelligence service of the occupiers' separate 100th motorized infantry brigade. During the meeting, he briefed the suspect, assigned her the main tasks and communication channels through a OCU cleric. After that, the perpetrator returned to Ukraine and began to collect information in favor of the aggressor country", - said the SBU.

The collaborator transmitted the information to russia through a previously developed anonymous chat in Telegram.

SBU investigators served her a notice of suspicion. The offender is in custody. She faces up to 8 years in prison.

To recap, the SBU detained racketeers in Odesa region who impersonated law enforcement officers, forged official documents and imposed "tribute" on tax evaders.
