Polish drivers lift blockade at one of the border crossing points with Ukraine
As of Sunday morning, about 3,500 trucks were blocked on the Polish side of the Polish-Ukrainian border
Polish drivers have decided to end the blockade at one of the border crossings with Ukraine.
This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
The protests began last month in response to restrictions on Ukrainian trucks' access to the EU, causing delays in deliveries and higher prices for certain goods.
The blockade of the Yagodyn-Dorogusk crossing has now been lifted and trucks have started to pass through. The Ukrainian authorities claim that about 3,500 trucks remain blocked on the Polish side of the border, but Kubrakov emphasized the need to fully unblock the border.
At the same time, Tomasz Borkowski, head of the Polish Committee for the Protection of Transport Carriers and Employers, claims that no agreement has been reached to end the blockade.
