Over 4,000 tax control actions in November
The National Tax Administration Agency (ANAF) carried out an extensive tax control campaign in November, carrying out around 4,000 inspection and verification actions. The report presented by the Ministry of Finance shows that a total of 446 million lei in tax decisions were applied.
In an effort to improve transparency and fairness in the tax system, ANAF issued 1,407 compliance notices for alleged tax risks amounting to 71,971,326 lei. In addition, 3,948 tax control actions were carried out, including tax inspections and documentary checks, and additional tax obligations were established through tax assessment decisions, Digi24 reports.
In the context of the campaign to combat tax evasion, 3,816 anti-fraud controls were carried out, with estimated tax implications worth RON 112,073,350. At the same time, contraventional sanctions, such as fines and seizures, were applied in the amount of 32,494,783 lei.
Finance Minister Marcel Boloș stresses the importance of tax education and expresses his commitment to respecting taxpayers' rights. ANAF has adopted a progressive approach to tax control, including the issuance of Compliance Notices and documentary verification actions to increase tax compliance.
In order to strengthen the relationship with taxpayers, ANAF has developed a "Tax Control Manual" which serves as a guideline for both the tax administration and taxpayers. This effort aims to bring efficiency and transparency to the revenue collection process and promote an approach based on dialogue and clear information.
