According to the UN, nearly 700 million people worldwide are currently on the brink of poverty, with an increase of 46 million in the past year alone. The World Bank forecasts that the number of impoverished people in Ukraine may quadruple due to the ongoing war.

The concept of poverty is diverse: for some, it's the lack of material resources and luxury, while for others, it involves relationships and values. It's crucial to note that poverty is influenced not only by economic factors but also by internal perspectives and personal beliefs.

Among the key factors that can lead to poverty, experts highlight:

Views and Beliefs. In today's world, there are various opportunities for earning, including online resources. However, individuals who limit themselves by thinking that success is only achievable through hard work in an office miss out on opportunities for development and self-realization.

Low Self-Esteem. People who have experienced excessive criticism or devaluation in childhood may struggle with adequate self-esteem. Recommendations in such cases include understanding one's strengths and weaknesses and working on increasing self-acceptance.

Concern for Others' Opinions. Dependency on others' opinions can restrict personal and professional development. It is advised to avoid negative influences and work on building one's own confidence.

Fear of Change. Individuals with a poverty mindset may shy away from new opportunities and changes. Active actions and a willingness to take risks can open up new perspectives and opportunities, but those with a poverty mindset are often unwilling to embrace them.

Psychologists also examine the "psychology of poverty" as a set of attitudes that determine a person's behavior. To transition from poverty to prosperity, it is recommended to abandon harmful habits and cultivate positive thinking. By shedding habits that lead to poverty, individuals can not only improve their financial situation but also build immunity to economic challenges.
