In a time of mortal danger, ordinary citizens exemplify courage and endurance: Israel's heroes

Israeli soldiers patrol the area after the Hamas attack

Ordinary people, such as a reserve officer and a bus driver, have become heroes for the people of Israel. They bravely rescued relatives and strangers amid clashes with Hamas. In saving them, they showed great courage and superhuman endurance. The conflict came as a surprise to many, and they had to act quickly to survive and help others.

Some Israelis shared their stories on Facebook. Reserve General Noam Tibon took it upon himself to rescue his family, who were trapped in a bomb shelter during a Hamas attack. Living far away from his son, he and his wife went to help. During the journey, they encountered a roadblock, but, having a jeep, they determinedly pushed through. Later, they joined other soldiers in liberating houses from the enemy and were finally able to save their families.

Yosef, a Bedouin bus driver, became a hero at the music festival where the conflict began. Instead of fleeing himself, he stayed behind and helped people seek shelter.

Another story tells of Rachel, who was captured with her husband during an attack. Knowing that the house was surrounded, she decided to engage in conversation with the militants, even offering them coffee and cookies. This diverted their attention and helped the Israeli soldiers rescue the hostages.
