A C-27 J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, equipped for medical missions, took off from the 90th Air Transport Base in Otopeni on a humanitarian transport mission. At the request of the Department for Emergency Situations, the aircraft is on its way to Iași and then to Lubeck, Germany, to transport a patient diagnosed with burns.

The mission was approved by the Minister of National Defence, Angel Tîlvăr, announced the institution. The medical team accompanying the patient during the flight is made up of specialists from the Emergency Clinical Hospital in Bucharest. Transport from the hospital to the airport was provided by an SMURD ambulance.

Taking off from Iași at around 10.00, the C-27 J Spartan aircraft will ensure the safe and efficient transport of the patient to his destination in Germany. A coordinated effort between air force and medical personnel to provide assistance in emergency situations.
