Imagine that you are about to meet your dream date, but you are a person who is not always confident. Your partner is the pinnacle of all your expectations, so you feel the need to be in the best shape of your life. Does this cause you anxiety? Are you comfortable living this way?

However, it always gets easier when we start to understand the nature of our fears. There is a chance that they can be less catastrophic, or there is a possibility of coexistence with them or even getting rid of them.

The author of the books, psychologist and psychotherapist Volodymyr Stancyshyn, has spent a lot of time researching anxiety, depression, social phobias and other mental disorders that affect our daily lives. He argues that we all have anxiety, and it's not unusual at all. The key is to understand that anxiety is an integral part of our existence.

Volodymyr Stancyshyn notes that there are many types of anxiety disorders, such as various phobias, panic attacks, depression, acute stress response, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more. If you learn to track the factors that cause anxiety, it can be beneficial, as it will help you to influence the situation.

To do this, the psychotherapist recommends keeping a diary, writing down your thoughts and emotions. This helps to cope with the chaos in your head. It is also important to learn not to believe all opinions and to change your usual approach to actions.

The psychologist is convinced that many of the walls we feel exist only in our heads, and sometimes you need to do a lot of work to "rewire" your own consciousness. He also emphasizes that it is not always possible to cope with this on your own, sometimes you need the help of a specialist.  It should not be perceived as a treatment because working with a therapist can be like a friendship, but it requires trust.
