Entrepreneurs are ready to supply the Armed Forces with quality goods

The Ministry of Defense is working to ensure that bulletproof vests,helmets, tactical equipment, clothing and food for the Armed Forces are made inUkraine. At the same time, the main criteria are quality and competitive price.This is stated on the official website of theMinistry.

It is noted that the Ministry of Defense initiated a meeting withrepresentatives of Ukrainian businesses that supply these goods to the army.

"Entrepreneurs say they are ready to fully meet the logisticalneeds of the Armed Forces with quality goods. In particular, the meetingdiscussed how to make business cooperation with the state predictable so thatbusinesses can plan expenses for the Ministry of Defense," the statementsaid.

The ministry also reminded that next year the Defense ProcurementAgency, a newly created enterprise of the Ministry of Defense, will beresponsible for providing the Armed Forces with clothing, food, fuel andlubricants, body armor, helmets and tactical equipment.

"Currently, the Defense Procurement Agency is preparing for thefirst procurement of food," the Defense Ministry said.

In early November, the Ministry of Defense announced a radicalchange in the approach to purchasing food for the Armed Forces.

The Ministry announced tenders for three months instead of six months:from January to March 2024 inclusive. During this period, the winners of thetenders will provide the Armed Forces with food.
