Three men from Galați arrested with more than a kilogram of drugs

Three men from Galați have been remanded in custody after being caught red-handed selling 100 grams of crystal meth, a high-risk drug.  According to investigators, they allegedly sold more than a kilogram of the drug in less than three months. During the searches, the same quantities of narcotics were found at the suspects' homes.

The raid took place on 27 November 2023 and the three men were arrested for 24 hours. They were subsequently brought before a judge, who ordered their remand in custody for 30 days. The investigation revealed that they had repeatedly acted in the commission of the offences of procurement, possession, storage, transport, distribution and sale of high-risk drugs, Digi24 reports.

During searches of the suspects' homes, law enforcement officers discovered approximately one kilogram of high-risk drugs (crystal meth) as well as 30 grams of cannabis. Two of the suspects, who are related to each other, were already under judicial control in a previous trial in 2021 for similar offences.

The event highlights the efforts of the authorities to combat drug trafficking, showing that these crimes are closely monitored and appropriately sanctioned.
