The former head of the Oncology Department at Suceava Hospital, Anca Ababneh Dumitrovici, has been sent to trial for 280 acts of bribe-taking, according to prosecutors from the Suceava Court Prosecutor's Office. The investigation reveals that the doctor allegedly received money and various goods, such as honey, cheese, cheese, pork, perfumes and others, from patients or their relatives.

Prosecutors allege that Ababneh Dumitrovici accepted the promise to receive money in exchange for prescribing drug treatments and received, between December 2022 and January 2023, substantial sums from patients. At the time of the arrest, the doctor was remanded in custody for 30 days after a police and prosecutors' raid.
