Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, a 34-year-old man from Costa Mesa , California, has been sentenced to 700 years in prison for sexually assaulting 16 boys while serving as a nanny. 

Zakrzewski was found guilty of molesting more than a dozen boys who ranged in age from 4 to 12 years old over a period of five years . He was convicted on 34 felonies involving child abuse, including lewd acts upon a child, oral copulation of a child under 10, and possession of child pornography. Zakrzewski was known to the families of the victims as "the original Sitter Buddy". 

During the trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Zakrzewski had filmed many of the assaults .

The sentencing judge called Zakrzewski a "monster disguised by smiles and giggles". The case has shocked the community and raised questions about how to prevent such crimes from happening in the future. 

The sentencing of Zakrzewski sends a strong message that such heinous crimes against children will not be tolerated and that justice will be served.
