Hidroelectrica Group reported a net profit of 5.184 billion lei in the first nine months of 2023, a significant 42% increase compared to the same period last year. The remarkable performance comes shortly after listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in July 2023.
Energy produced and sold (net) recorded a significant increase of 38%, reaching 14,101 GWh. The third quarter of 2023brought 22% higher net production than the same period in 2022, highlighting Hidroelectrica's operational efficiency, shows economedia.ro.

Revenues from the electricity supply business grew by an impressive 123% to RON 2.522 billion. This development is fuelled by the expansion of the company's customer portfolio.

Transfer costs associated with electricity supply saw a significant increase of 157%, reflecting the expansion of the customer portfolio and the increase in regulated tariffs.
A successful listing: Hidroelectrica on the Bucharest Stock Exchange
The listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange in July 2023 was a success for Hidroelectrica, consolidating its position as Romania's leading green energy producer. The company operates 187 power plants with a hydropower capacity of 6.3 GW, adding the Crucea wind farm with an installed capacity of 108 MW.
