Russia is accumulating missiles and preparing for new massive strikes on Ukraine, says expert
Russians are capable of producing between 100 to 120 missiles per month.
Russian sare actively producing and stockpiling missiles of various types and are ready to launch a massive attack on Ukraine with up to 80 missiles.
This was revealed by military expert Petro Chernik in an interview with the YouTube channel We Are Ukraine.
According to the analyst, as of today, Russians can produce between 100 to 120 missiles per month and are prepared to target Ukrainian territory with them. However, he noted that Russians have not yet reached the record number of missiles launched in a single month, which was 236 missiles recorded in December 2022.
Commenting on the missileattack on the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch on November 4th, which resulted in damage to the Russian corvette "Askold," Petro Chernik praised the professional work of the Ukrainian Air Force. They managed to find an algorithm to breach the dense Russian air defense, even though temporarily occupied Crimea is more protected from the air than Moscow.
The significant achievement of this attack, according to the expert, is not just hitting the ship but damaging the dry dock where the vessel was under repair.
"The small missile ship of the Karakurt project 22800 has 8 Kalibr missile launchers. It's very good that our military damaged another dry dock. This is actually a bigger success than directly hitting the ship. Why? Because everytime a missile comes out of the container, a jet of gases bursts out of its rocket nozzles, creating tremendous loads on the components and mechanisms, so they need constant repairs. And now, repairing them will become increasingly difficult," the analyst noted.
Nevertheless,Petro Chernik advises not to let up and be prepared for potential new missileattacks, as the Russians have up to 15 Kalibr missile launchers in operational condition, four Project 636 "Varshavyanka" diesel-electricsub marines, as well as the "Buyan-M" and "Vasiliy Bykov"ships, and at least two heavy frigates.
"If we consider it roughly, that's 10 ships, and each one has 8 missile launchers. In other words, the risk of a combined missile strike with up to 80 missiles on Ukraine is still present. Plus, most of the Russian missiles are of aviation origin and are launched from strategic bombers like the Tu-95MS and the MiG-31 fighters (in particular, the Kh-47M2 'Kinzhal'). So, the aggressor has up to 20 aircraft in working condition, which is quite a lot," the expert pointed out.
Ukraine Prepares for Its Worst Winter in History
Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, in an interview with Die Welt , stated that Ukraine is trying to protect its power plants from shelling as well as possible, but it is preparing for its worst winter in history.
Kuleba thus drew Berlin's attention to the importance of delivering German long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine or at least air defense systems for protection against aerial attacks.
In recent weeks, Russia has attacked Ukrainian energy facilities 60 times using various types of weapons. According to the Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, after eachnew attack, the energy sector's equipment needs increase, making assistance from partners to the Ukrainian energy sector crucial.
